Air cargo in Spain: April exceeds 112,000 tonnes and year-to-date volumes rise
Air cargo in Spain remains on an upward path. Sector reporting based on Aena data shows 112,884 tonnes moved in April (+5.3% year-on-year). From January to April, volumes reached 438,810 tonnes, +5.4% versus the same period last year. For industrial and import/export customers, this confirms air freight’s role in protecting service when time matters—restocking, critical parts and demand peaks—provided it’s managed with method.
At GMR Global Trans, we make air freight efficient and predictable:
- We choose routings and services by real lead time and reliability, not only headline price.
- We coordinate documentation and milestones to reduce friction at origin and destination.
- We connect air cargo with pickup, consolidation and distribution via our logistics base in the Valencian Community, reducing idle time.
GMR Global Trans: speed with control—so “urgent” doesn’t mean improvised.
